History and Mission

¡@¡@The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is committed to achieving academic excellence

 and producing well rounded students. Its key vision is to emerge at the forefront of scholarship

 and education in the humanities and social sciences. To do so, it holds fast to the following mission

 and goals:

  • cultivate the highest standards of teaching and scholarship in the humanities and
    social sciences,
  • cultivate effectively bilingual students with global mindset
  • provide well-rounded students education with breadth, depth rigour and flexibility,
  • provide graduates with special training in chosen areas and multi-disciplinary knowledge,
  • nurture in our graduates the spirit of critical thinking and life-long learning,
  • connect culture with science and information technology.
  • exploit IT for learning ,teaching and research,
  • strengthen international exchange and collaboration in learning, teaching and research
  • expand student and staff exchange program, giving exposure to new ideasand new cultures
